Dr Stewart is a Clinical Cardiologist who graduated from Medicine with Honours from the University of Newcastle in 2001 and obtained her Masters of Public Health from the University of NSW.  She undertook her Advanced training in Cardiology at Royal North Shore Hospital and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Stewart undertook a Fellowship in Echocardiography at St Vincent’s Hospital during which time she developed her expertise in echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and cardiac failure.

Her particular areas of interest and expertise are atrial fibrillation, heart failure, pre-operative assessment, ischaemic heart disease and women’s heart disease. Dr Stewart is an expert in the identification and management of cardiovascular disease in women and provides holistic care to all her patients.

Dr Stewart actively participates in the management of Cardiology patients at Coffs Harbour Base Hospital and Baringa Private Hospital. She cares for patients from a large area covering Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Grafton, Yamba, Iluka, Maclean, Armidale, Inverell, Glenn Innes, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Scott’s Head, Macksville, Dorrigo, Bellingen, Nambucca Heads, South West Rocks and Nambucca Heads.
